Putin: Russia should not forget about large projects despite virus

MOSCOW, May 14 (PRIME) -- Despite the on-going fight against the coronavirus disease, dynamic implementation of strategic goals and large-scale projects is important for Russia, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting devoted to genetic technologies on Thursday.

“Now, at a stage of a normal life rhythm recovery it is crucial to ensure dynamic, effective implementation of strategic tasks and our long-term large-scale projects, and to pick up the pace quickly,” he said.

“In the past few weeks, our efforts were aimed first of all at countering the coronavirus epidemic, at preparation of urgent measures to support the people and the economy. We will continue the work, of course. But I should repeat, the situation is changing, and it allows us to re-focus on our short-term and long-term agenda.”
